ADHD Evaluations for Adults & Adolescents

Evidence-based psychological evaluations designed to provide diagnostic clarity, practical recommendations, and documentation to support treatment planning, accommodations, or medication management. Whether you're seeking answers for yourself or your child, the goal is to understand how attention and executive functioning are impacting everyday life and identify the most appropriate next steps.

A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach

Comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations remain the gold standard for many referral questions and are invaluable when extensive cognitive testing is clinically indicated. However, in my clinical experience, they are not always medically necessary to determine whether someone meets diagnostic criteria for ADHD.

Many of the adults I evaluate are physicians, attorneys, executives, graduate students, and other high-achieving professionals who have developed effective strategies to compensate for their symptoms over many years. As a result, they often perform well on standardized cognitive testing completed in a quiet, structured environment. Yet their day-to-day lives may tell a very different story, with persistent difficulties managing competing priorities, organization, time management, deadlines, and other executive functioning demands.

Rather than relying solely on performance during several hours of cognitive testing, my evaluations integrate a comprehensive clinical interview, developmental history, standardized rating scales, record review when appropriate, and evidence-based clinical judgment. Every evaluation is tailored to the referral question, providing a thorough assessment while avoiding unnecessary testing when it is unlikely to meaningfully change the diagnostic conclusions or recommendations.

  • Standardized ADHD and executive functioning rating scales

  • Review of previous evaluations and relevant records (when available)

  • Collateral information when appropriate
